Kristina Pestana, MS, CNS, LDN
Kristina is a Licensed Clinical Nutritionist/Dietitian and Health Coach with a master's degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Born and raised in Venezuela — where all food is local and organic, she has seen how in the US a daily intake of processed, nutrient-depleted foods often lead to many ailments. It is undeniable that a strong connection between a diet and health exists. She previously worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, FL, as a consultant for multiple departments, including the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cath Lab, Nutrition Services, and Operating Rooms.
Kristina is certified by the Board of Nutrition Specialists, a member of the American Nutrition Association and a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine.
She’s also a Certified Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Medicine (IIN) and hold a ServeSafe certification.
She specializes in Eating Disorders, Digestive health, Food Sensitivities, Autoimmune diseases, ADD and Autism, and Diabetes management
Her approach is science-based and her consultations start with an extensive initial assessment (including physical assessment, dietary review, symptom, regular and functional lab reviews*, supplement review, and drug-nutrient interactions) and lab tests to gives us a full picture of each client's nutritional challenges. We take into consideration your current medical condition, nutrition objectives, and information from a set of functional tests to give us the critical insights about your body and how it handles nutrients.
