Turkey Kebab Balls

 

These meatballs are inspired from many Asian cultures and cooking where a spicy meat "kebab" is the featured item. Feel free to play with different types of protein: turkey, chicken, pork, beef, lamb, etc. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey breast

  • 1 tablespoon meatball spice mix: onion, garlic, pepper, paprika, celery seed

  • 1/4 cup organic, unsalted tomato sauce 

  • pinch thyme

  • dash of hot pepper sauce

  • 1 tablespoon chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon almond meal

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and chill for 10 minutes.

  2. Roll the meatball mix into balls. Thread them 3 at a time on a bamboo skewer.

  3. Place on a nonstick pan and top with a little more meatball seasoning spice. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

  4. Remove from oven and serve hot.
